7 UNIQUE AND DIVERSE COMMUNITIES
Students in the House of T.R.U.S.T. are Phoenixes! They rise from the ashes of their past and prepare to start anew; they may need guidance in Stockton-specific areas, but are quite independent as they see the possibilities in fresh starts and are eager to connect to their new home.
Students in the House of Expressions are creative beings!
They have varied outlooks on life; honor their identities + experiences through their art; bring awareness and support to causes with their work; and stand firm in their unique + eclectic mindsets and ways of living.
Students in the House of B.E.A.L. are natural born leaders!
They think of innovative ways to solve problems; they’re the students who are typically the head of a class group project; they are goal oriented, and they make it a priority to meet + connect with others wherever they go.
Students in the House of First Ospreys are trendsetters!
They’re champions leading the way for their families by being the FIRST to take on the journey of higher education; they’ll need guidance on connecting to resources & services, and navigating college culture - yet they’ll be open minded to trying new things and appreciative of all experiences offered to them.
Students in the House of Mosaic are unapologetic!
They understand their ethnicity + culture plays into how and what they experience in their lives; they value the diversity of their own identities and of others; they seek first to educate (with clear boundaries); and they choose the duality of celebrating who + what they are while continuously fighting for justice and social change.
Students in the House of Lavender are proud!
They rightfully occupy spaces where they can be their full selves; they educate on the complexities and histories of their sexuality and/or gender identities; they stand up to “normalcy” and fight for social change; and they embrace their individuality and encourage others to do the same.
Students in the House of S.T.E.M. are forward thinkers!
They bask in obtaining new information + problem solving; jump at any chance to work + learn in their field; believes just because something works well doesn’t mean it can’t be improved; and they can see the underlying S.T.E.M. principles in any and everything.
